Auburn University Rehabilitation Counseling Program
Our program integrates both the science and the practice of counseling psychology. The program requires you to complete a full-time, one-year, pre-doctoral internship. With this degree, you are trained to provide direct psychological services in various settings. These settings include private practice, college/university counseling centers, medical settings, correctional facilities, and Veterans Administration hospitals.
Our curriculum is built on the scientist-practitioner model for health service psychology training. We focus on the integration of the science and practice of counseling psychology.

Faculty value and support students as unique individuals and as budding professionals. Faculty also strive to create a training environment that respects diverse identities and perspectives. Counseling Psychology Ph.D. Applicants can express interest in working with (and being advised by) any of the core faculty.
